Providing more topics on how to achieve fleet efficiency, the Fleet Technology Expo (FTX) coming up on Aug. 24-26 in Long Beach, Calif. has so far doubled the attendee registration compared to the 2014 Green Fleet Conference & Expo. FTX replaces Green Fleet Conference, expanding the educational topics to not only include alternative fuels but also fleet software and telematics, and education for heavy-duty fleets as well.

"For just about every fleet we know, fuel is the second biggest expense right behind depreciation. And, that doesn't change simply because oil prices are down," said Sherb Brown, vice president and group publisher of Automotive Fleet. "Alternative-fuel adoption is important, but it is only one piece to the puzzle when it comes to making your fleet more efficient. We are seeing a real commitment to telematics, driver training, and proper vehicle selection as a method to manage fuel expenses."

At FTX, attendees will get the chance to dive into numerous topics on how to lower costs and make operations more sustainable. "We’re confident that it's this expansion of options and education that our attendee numbers are growing," Brown said.

With more than 20 educational sessions, check out the full Fleet Technology Expo schedule here.

Whether you’re looking to test drive alternative-fuel vehicles, hear from OEMs, get a future look at technology or learn how to better manage fleet data, FTX is purpose-built so that every type of operation can work toward a smarter and efficient fleet.
