Fleet Support Group Renamed to ARI Fleet UK
MT. LAUREL, NJ – ARI Fleet UK is the new name for Fleet Support Group (FSG). The name change comes almost 10 months after ARI's acquisition of the Chippenham-based FSG.
MT. LAUREL, NJ – ARI Fleet UK is the new name for Fleet Support Group (FSG), Britain’s largest independent fleet management company. The name change, effective Oct. 1, comes almost 10 months after ARI acquired the Chippenham-based FSG.
In the months since the acquisition, significant developments already are enabling ARI Fleet UK’s client base to benefit from ARI’s established record of investment in sophisticated IT solutions to further improve vehicle, driver, and journey management, according to the company.
“It remains business as usual, although existing and new customers operating cars, vans, and trucks will benefit from an even more in-depth range of fleet management services,” said Geoffrey Bray, FSG founder and chairman of ARI Fleet UK. “FSG has prided itself over 25 years on delivering financial savings to its customers and that will continue with ARI Fleet UK. The game-changing technology that ARI is bringing to its UK customers will deliver significant benefits in driver, vehicle, and journey management, resulting in major savings in terms of total cost of ownership.”
Another development is the appointment of Mark Bryan, a 20-year fleet industry veteran, as managing director.
“While it is the end of one era, today marks the start of a new one with the official launch of the ARI name in the UK. ARI’s family culture means that the company has a very similar ethos and approach to FSG, which ensures continuity,” said Bryan. “However, technology is a major differentiator for ARI, and the company’s significant financial resources present a considerable opportunity for our customers and prospects in the UK to embrace a raft of new solutions to aid operating cost reduction.”
Chris Conroy, executive vice president and chief operating officer for ARI Canada and managing director of global operations for ARI, also added some remarks. “Today is a proud day for ARI as it marks the arrival of the company’s name in the established UK fleet market,” Conroy said. “We believe the comprehensive range of industry-leading fleet management solutions now available to our UK clients and prospects will further help to expand our service capability and geographic reach.”
“We have many North American clients where our unique ability to deliver customized solutions has provided exceptional results, and that trend will continue in the UK where companies are starting to benefit from the power of our investment in technology, highly sophisticated data and analysis tools, and processes,” Conroy added.
ARI, a part of the Holman Automotive Group, manages more than 920,000 cars, trucks, and equipment in North America and the UK, and combined with its strategic partners, more than 2 million fleet vehicles globally. ARI is headquartered in Mount Laurel, N.J.
ARI Fleet UK, formerly Fleet Support Group (FSG), manages approximately 55,000 vehicles and offers a comprehensive fleet products and services portfolio. FSG was founded in 1987 and was acquired by ARI in December 2011.
