Camilla Davis is vice president of administration for FARA, a nationwide insurance third party administrator. She credits her achievements in managing FARA’s fleet among the reasons she was honored on December 18 as one of the “2003 Women of the Year” by New Orleans CityBusiness. Davis, the first woman in her company to serve as a corporate vice president, is responsible for her company’s 40-vehicle fleet. She also oversees FARA’s risk management program, licensing and compliance, and other major business areas. “FARA is in the business of containing insurance costs,” said Davis. “That’s the essence of my job. My responsibility is to reduce FARA’s administrative costs so we can offer competitive pricing to our clients. Enterprise has helped me do that,” she added. “I manage many vendors for FARA, and Enterprise has been a valued partner in helping us implement cost-saving initiatives,” Davis added. She has worked with Enterprise Fleet Services throughout her 13-year career with FARA, and has saved FARA $1-million in fleet expenses through a variety of initiatives. One of her strategies is a fleet policy that limits company cars to those employees who drive a minimum of 1,000 business miles per month. FARA’s auto expenses have been reduced by 50 percent.
