ST. LOUIS – Firestone Complete Fleet Care recently hosted representatives from 30 key business partners at an informational symposium in St. Louis, Mo., that discussed how the automotive industry is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. Firestone Complete Fleet Care, which is owned and operated by BFS Retail & Commercial Operations LLC (BFRC), services individual accounts and partners with major maintenance management programs to perform manufacturer or fleet-scheduled maintenance.

At the 12th annual event, representatives from Firestone Complete Fleet Care, BFRC, Bosch, Hunter Engineering Co., Safety Kleen, and Champion Laboratories provided information on new technologies and products, fuel efficiency, recycled oil, and fluids.

The meeting also highlighted several of BFRC's environmental initiatives, including committing to using steel wheel weights instead of traditional lead wheel weights, piloting an environmentally friendly oil change service in Portland, Ore., and servicing hybrids at select retail locations.
