FCA US is recalling an estimated 3,975 Fiat 500e hatchbacks in the 2013-2015 model years so dealers can upgrade the cruise-control software, the automaker said.
FCA engineers recently identified the software problem after reviewing warranty data. The trouble occurs only when the car’s cruise control is engaged and the driver tries to override the feature with accelerator pedal applications or rapid tapping of the accelerate/decelerate buttons, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) said.
