Environmental Defense Fund and PHH Arval Partner to Reduce GHG Emissions
SPARKS, MD – Environmental Defense Fund has released a report presenting results achieved by several companies using the PHH GreenFleet program.
SPARKS, MD – Environmental Defense Fund released a new report, "Greening Fleets: A roadmap to lower costs and cleaner corporate fleets," highlighting its work with PHH Arval in developing an approach to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions without increasing costs.
The report presents results achieved by several companies using the PHH GreenFleet program. On average, these clients have reduced GHG emissions by 14 percent while reducing operating costs by 4 percent, according to the company.
"We are eager to make this report widely available to companies watching the bottom line while working to 'green' their operations," said Jason Mathers, EDF project manager.
"By highlighting best practices in greening fleets, this report can help all fleets achieve their environmental and business goals," said Karen Healey, director of PHH Arval's environmental initiatives.
A PDF of the report is available at www.edf.org/greenfleet.
EDF will also be hosting a conference call on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. EST to review these best practices and answer questions from fleet managers. To RSVP for the call or for more information, e-mail greenfleet@edf.org.
