Dodge Grand Caravan, Jeep Wrangler Recalled for Brake Switches
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling nearly 40,000 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans and Jeep Wrangler compact SUVs because the brake switches may malfunction — keeping the brake lights illuminated or allowing the vehicle to shift out of Park when the brake pedal is not pressed.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling nearly 40,000 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans and Jeep Wrangler compact SUVs because the brake switches may malfunction — keeping the brake lights illuminated or allowing the vehicle to shift out of Park when the brake pedal is not pressed. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
FCA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake switches free of charge.
The recall will begin on March 30. About 1% of the 39,456 vehicles potentially involved in the recall contain the defect.
Vehicle owners can reach FCA customer service at (800)-853-1403. FCA’s reference number for this safety recall is U09.
