Discount Tire added 55 stores nationwide in 2018, with nine outlets opened in December alone, according to ModernTireDealer.com.

The latest store openings occurred in six states, including Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin and Virginia. The cities and the dates of the store openings include Watauga, Texas on Dec. 10; San Antonio on Dec. 21; Jacksonville, N.C. on Dec. 21; Denton, Texas on Dec. 24; Plano, Texas on Dec. 24; Olathe, Kan. on Dec. 26; Madison, Wis. on Dec. 28; Bristol, Va. on Dec. 31; and North Little Rock, Ark. on Dec. 31.

The company now has 1,020 stores. The parent company, Reinalt-Thomas Corp., does business as Discount Tire (and America’s Tire in parts of California). The 1,000th Discount Tire store was opened on Sept. 10.
