DaimlerChrysler Corp. has announced a 7-year/70,000-mile limited powertrain warranty on its Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge brand vehicles. This offer is available on all fleet vehicles with the following exceptions: Police, Taxi, Postal, and Ambulance. The normal 3/36 warranty applies to those vehicles listed above. This warranty is available on all new vehicles purchased or leased on or after July 9, 2002. Warranty applies to all 2003 models and any remaining 2002 vehicles in stock. DaimlerChrysler says it is confident that this new warranty will positively affect resale and lease residual values across the board.
