CLEVELAND – CSA International, a testing and certification organization, has unveiled a new laboratory within its Cleveland facility to offer third-party testing of appliances and components for hydrogen vehicles and fueling stations.
"This lab will be one of the only facilities in North America to offer a testing and certification program for hydrogen products manufactured across the globe," said Rich Weiser, vice president for U.S. and Mexico operations for CSA Group.
CSA said the lab’s stringent testing processes are designed to meet nationally recognized hydrogen vehicle component and infrastructure standards. With estimates that 5,200 hydrogen fueling stations will be operational worldwide by 2012, CSA's testing methods will help alternative energy products come to market swiftly and cost-effectively, the company added.
