Copart already has two facilities in the Boston area.
Copart CEO and founder Willis J. Johnson said the 80-acre greenfield site will serve the central and western part of the state. "This new facility allows us to be closer to our customers in another part of Massachusetts and expands our national footprint," Johnson said.
Copart is a leading online remarketer of vehicles, selling more than 1 million vehicles per year. Most of the vehicles sold through Copart are damaged vehicles deemed a total loss for insurance or business purposes, or are recovered stolen vehicles for which an insurance settlement with the vehicle owner has already been made.
