PETAL, MS and LEXINGTON, NE - Company vehicles were stolen this week in Mississippi and New York and used as escape vehicles by criminals, according to local newspapers.

In Nebraska, one of New York State's Parole Divisions' most wanted men and his female companion were arrested July 14 in Dawson County following a traffic stop, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

Vehicle information revealed the truck had been stolen from a New York construction company.  The male driver of the vehicle, identified as John Shaw, 42, of Otsego County, New York, had an active warrant out of New York State. Shaw, a Level III registered sex offender, is listed on the New York State Division of Parole's most wanted fugitive list. The female passenger in the truck, Lisa Knoblauch, 28, also had an active warrant for a parole violation on an assault conviction.

Both Shaw and Knoblauch were taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Dawson County Jail, each on charges of Possessing a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Property, according to the a statement released by the Nebraska State Patrol.

In Petal, Miss., Hattiesburg Americanreported Petal Drug Co.'s delivery vehicle was stolen July 15 after store robbers was took prescription drugs from employees and fled in the store-owned automobile. Employees reportedly gave the robbers the keys to a Ford Escort delivery vehicle to get them out of the store.

The delivery car was later found abandoned in a field nearby. Photos of the vehicle were taken at the location where it was abandoned before it was towed to a city impound lot for processing.
