Comdata Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceridian Corporation, announced on July 19 that it has named Brian Truman as the national accounts representative for its local fleet division. Truman joins Comdata following a seven-year career with South Portland, Maine-based Wright Express, a provider of fleet charge cards to the fleet maintenance and fueling industry. He will service Comdata as manager of national accounts in the public sector for the Business Fleet Services (BFS) division, a provider of MasterCard and proprietary-branded payment cards for the local and short haul fleet transportation industry. Truman has special expertise in dealing with organizations looking for efficient ways to do tax-exempt fueling. In 2002, the Comdata MasterCard Corporate Fleet card was certified by the IRS as to automatically deduct and report government tax exemptions at the point-of-invoice.
