COLUMBUS, OHIO - U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities, Argonne National Laboratory, and Clean Fuels Ohio are partnering to present Waste to Wheels: Building for Success, a free, three-day workshop focused on renewable natural gas and successful project development. Fleet managers are invited to attend on Dec. 1.

The event will take place Nov. 30 - Dec. 2 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The first and last days address the needs of Clean Cities coordinators.

Renewable natural gas is a key element in DOE Clean Cities' overall strategy to reduce petroleum use in the transportation sector. This event is designed to assemble sector and industry leaders for in-depth discussions about opportunities, challenges, funding, regulations, and both current and emerging technologies.

The Dec. 1 training workshop is open to public officials; fleet operators; representatives of gas processing/cleanup technologies; professionals from the natural gas engine, fuel production, and fueling industries; producers of organic waste; and representatives of the waste management, disposal, and recycling industries. It will include information about: the elements of a winning proposal, biogas projects and project potential, resource competition and tradeoffs, planning for end-use and fueling infrastructure, and financial incentives and programs.

Clean Fuels Ohio will host the evening networking reception following the workshop.
