WASHINGTON - Chrysler Group LLC is issuing two major vehicle recalls. The first recall affects more than 367,000 MY 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles, while the second recall covers more than 76,000 MY 2010-2011 Dodge Ram trucks, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. 

The Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles may experience a water leak at the heating and air conditioner drain grommet. This can lead to illumination of the airbag warning light and potential inadvertent airbag deployment. 

Such an accidental airbag deployment poses an injury risk to vehicle occupants. Dealers will replace the HVAC drain grommet free of charge. This safety recall is expected to begin in February 2011. 

The second recall covers Dodge Ram trucks manufactured from March 2009 through October 2010. Some of these trucks equipped with a diesel engine and a Hydroboost brake system may be equipped with a power steering reservoir cap with excessive vent pressure levels, according to NHTSA. This may lead to brake pedals that are slow to return. Brake lights that are slow to extinguish pose a safety risk. 

Chrysler dealers will replace the power steering reservoir cap free of charge. This recall is also expected to get underway in February.
