In addition, it has added a three-month/30,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. This is in addition to the eight-year/80,000 mile powertrain warranty that comes with all certified vehicles, no matter what the model-year. The company made no changes to its program covering 2002-model and older certified used vehicles. Those vehicles are covered by any remaining new-car warranty and an eight-year/80,000-mile powertrain warranty. The certification cost remains at $395 for those vehicles. The Chrysler group sold 44,547 certified used vehicles through June 2003. This is a 52 percent improvement over the 29,372 certified vehicles it sold through June, 2002. The Chrysler group expects to sell about 100,000 certified used vehicles in 2003.
