Chrysler Group LLC is recalling 188,723 2011 model-year Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles to address a potential stalling problem, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The vehicles, manufactured from Jan. 5, 2010, to July 20, 2011, are equipped with either a 3.6L or 5.7L engine. They are at risk for sudden stalling because the fuel pump relay inside the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM-7) may fail, NHTSA said.

Chrysler dealers will replace the fuel pump relay with one external to the TIPM, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on Oct. 24, NHTSA said.

Vehicle owners can reach Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P54.
