SEARCHWASHINGTON, D.C. --- Chrysler is recalling more than 212,000 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger cars to correct an electrical problem that could lead to engine stalling and other issues.
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Chrysler is recalling more than 212,000 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger cars to correct an electrical problem that could lead to engine stalling and other issues.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall affects 2007-2008 Sebrings and Avengers with standard tire pressure monitoring systems.
According to the NHTSA, unused electrical connectors for the monitoring system could become corroded and short circuit. This, in turn, could lead to problems starting the engine, a dead battery, a faulty cruise control or engine stalling.
There have been no reported accidents or injuries linked to the problem, though.
