Chrysler 200, Jeep Cherokee Recalled for Transmission
The recall, which also includes Jeep Renegade and Ram ProMaster models, covers nearly 413,000 vehicles.

FCA US is recalling 412,855 2014-2015 model-year Jeep Cherokee and 2015 Chrysler 200, Jeep Renegade and Ram ProMaster vehicles equipped with nine-speed automatic transmissions, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.
The transmission sensor clusters in these vehicles may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, causing the transmission to unexpectedly shift to neutral and increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA said.
Last week, NHTSA announced that ZF-manufactured transmission sensor clusters used in nine-speed automatic transmissions would need to be recalled in 505,000 vehicles. This FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) recall, expected to begin Aug. 26, represents the bulk of those ZF sensor cluster recalls.
To address the problem, dealers will update the transmission software.
