Carmine Adds CalAmp's Crash Data to Fleet Software
Telematics provider Carmine has integrated CalAmp's CrashBoxx crash data services into its fleet management software platform for small and medium-sized fleet operators, CalAmp has announced.

Telematics provider Carmine has integrated CalAmp's CrashBoxx crash data services into its fleet management software platform for small and medium-sized fleet operators, CalAmp has announced.
With the move, Carmine customers will receive crash alerts via email or mobile phone push alerts. The notifactions to fleet managers will include information about the incident, including relative location, date, time, and severity of the crash. In some cases, detailed accident reconstruction reports can be ordered so fleet managers can expedite the repair process and analyze liability, according to CalAmp.
"The U.S. fleet market is highly saturated and integrating CalAmp's CrashBoxx into our existing solution is a key differentiator for us," said Ali Reza Fategh, Carmine's chief executive. "Accidents happen, and we want our customers to have the latest technology that can significantly reduce costs associated with a crash as well as provide notifications that can save lives."
Carmine, a business unit of MicroTelematics, Inc. that's based in Newport Beach, Calif., serves more than 5,000 customers with "tens of thousands" of subscribed vehicles, according to CalAmp, which is based in nearby Irvine. LoJack is a CalAmp subsidiary.
