Cadillac will offer a plug-in hybrid variant of its CT6 flagship sedan that will offer more than 400 miles of driving range when it goes on sale in the spring, Cadillac has announced.
The 2017 CT6 Plug-In Hybrid will provide 30 miles of electric range with a hybrid powertrain combining a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder gasoline engine with a pair of electric motors. The gasoline engine produces 335 hp and 432 lb.-ft. of torque, while each electric motor produces 100 hp. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 100 mph.
The CT6 Plug-In Hybrid will retail for at least $76,090 before available incentives. It would likely be eligible for the federal $7,500 tax incentive.
The vehicle will include features similar to the Premium Luxury trim level, which is second highest in the lineup. Standard equipment on the PHEV would include a rear seat infotainment system, enhanced night vision, and the rear camera mirror.
