Cadillac and BostonCoach, a large provider of ground transportation services worldwide, announced on June 2 the signing of an agreement to convert the majority of BostonCoach's livery fleet to the Cadillac DeVille. With the Cadillac agreement, BostonCoach becomes the first global ground transportation provider to feature Cadillac vehicles equipped with navigation systems as its standard fleet vehicle. "Our mission is to maximize the benefits we provide our customers," said Bill Kavanagh, BostonCoach chief operating officer. "With a DVD-based navigation system for our drivers, and OnStar in-vehicle communications services for our passengers, the Cadillac DeVille will help us to accomplish that mission." The Cadillac DeVille models to be acquired by BostonCoach will be equipped with an in-vehicle DVD navigation system and power ports for laptop connectivity. The communication services available in the DeVille also includes the OnStar Directions and Connections package. The Directions and Connections package includes route support and directional assistance for drivers as well as safety and security features such as airbag deployment notification, emergency roadside assistance, and remote vehicle diagnostics features. Additionally, OnStar will enhance BostonCoach passengers' productivity through additional individualized services, such as providing assistance with hotel and restaurant reservations and information on other points of interest.
