BMW to Debut 2012 MY-3-Series and ActiveHybrid Sedans at Detroit Auto Show
WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ – BMW announced it will debut its new 2012-MY 3 Series, its BMW ActiveHybrid 3, and BMW ActiveHybrid 5 at the Detroit Auto Show on January 9, 2012.
WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ – BMW announced it will debut its new 2012-MY 3 Series, its BMW ActiveHybrid 3, and BMW ActiveHybrid 5 at the Detroit Auto Show on January 9, 2012.
BMW said its sixth-generation edition of the 3 Series will be the first BMW to be available in three lines, sport, luxury, or modern, in addition to the base model the automaker is offering.
BMW said its 335i features the automaker’s TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, while the BMW 328i will feature a new TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder variant for better fuel economy. The automaker said its new ActiveHybrid 3 is the world’s first full hybrid in the premium compact sport sedan segment. The company’s new ActiveHybrid 5 will feature BMW’s 3.0L TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine an electric drive system, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The company will also have its i3 and i8 concept models on hand, which the automaker unveiled at the New York Auto Show.
