BMW Shows Semi-Automated Car Tech at CES
BMW unveiled its automated driving technology that helps control the vehicle at high speeds and provides parking assistance during several demonstrations at the Consumer Electronics Show this week.

BMW unveiled its automated driving technology that helps control the vehicle at high speeds and provides parking assistance during several demonstrations at the Consumer Electronics Show this week.
BMW's ActiveAssist technology takes control of the car when the wheels skid to provide precise control "up to the vehicle's dynamic limit." BMW demonstrated the technology on a wet surface with a camouflaged prototype, the automaker announced.
The automaker also demonstrated new parking-assistance technology on its i3 electric vehicle. By pushing a button, drivers can remove their hands from the wheel as the vehicle parks itself in a space just 22 inches longer than the car itself with the help of ultrasonic sensors, reports CNET.
