Transervice Logistics, Inc., a provider of customized transportation solutions, has been selected by Bimbo Bakeries USA to provide contract maintenance fleet services to plant locations in Cromwell, Conn.; Lakewood, Texas; and Ft. Worth, Texas.
“Selecting a vendor that truly understands your business needs and delivers on your expectations while presenting itself as a true and conscientious business partner is rare nowadays,” said Gary Maresca, Bimbo’s senior director of Fleet Services. “Transervice has proven its worth in fleet management and keeps sharing its profit gains with us. A win-win for all.”
The company began its partnership with Bimbo in 2013, initially providing services to the company’s distribution operation in Maspeth, N.Y. With the addition of the three new bakery locations, Transervice is now responsible for maintaining more than 570 route delivery trucks and yard equipment for Bimbo.
Wolfgang Marschhauser, Transervice Senior Vice President of Sales, credits long term relationships with Bimbo management on the national and local level, the company’s sound services offering and market proven capabilities for this latest contract award. “By outsourcing their fleet maintenance operations at these locations, Bimbo has dedicated technicians, supervision, and a single point of contact to manage their fleet maintenance operations.”
