Baytech Obtains 2009-MY CNG Medium and Heavy Duty Vehicle and Engine Certifications
LOS ALTOS, CA– Baytech Corporation has obtained EPA and CARB certifications for Baytech’s dedicated compressed natural gas (CNG) fueled 2009-MY General Motors, Isuzu, and Workhorse medium-and heavy-duty vehicles with 6.0L engines.
LOS ALTOS, CA– Baytech Corporation has obtained EPA and CARB certifications for Baytech’s dedicated compressed natural gas (CNG) fueled 2009-MY General Motors, Isuzu and, Workhorse medium and heavy duty vehicles with 6.0L engines.
Vehicles included in these new certifications include cab forward, cutaway van, chassis cab and custom chassis models.
In the heavy-duty vehicle category (over 14,000 lb GVWR), Baytech’s new CNG certifications cover the 6.0L engines in:
Chevrolet and GMC W4500.
Isuzu NPR HD.
Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 4500 Cutaway Van.
Workhorse heavy-duty chassis.
In the medium-duty vehicle category, the new certifications covers:
Chevrolet and GMC W3500.
Isuzu NPR.
Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 3500 Cutaway Van.
Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD pickup bed delete.
Chassis Cab, and Workhorse medium duty chassis, all with 6.0L engines.
“Baytech’s new CNG vehicle certifications complement our previously announced CNG 2009-MY GM pickups and vans, and they affirm Baytech’s commitment to providing the largest lineup of CNG vehicles in the industry,” says Richard Turner, vice president, Baytech. “Baytech is well positioned to serve fleet customers in 2009.”
The CNG systems incorporate Baytech’s gaseous fuel sequential Multi-Point Fuel Injection system technology. Baytech’s CNG engine calibration software is fully integrated with the vehicle’s control system to achieve high performance and low emissions, and engine diagnostics functions are accessed via standard gasoline scanner tools.
