WASHINGTON – Azure Dynamics is recalling 261 2010-2012 model-year Balance Hybrid vehicles manufactured on the Ford E-450 chassis. An electrical system issue may lead to engine stalling and failure to restart.
If the low-temperature radiator fans seize, the fuse may blow. This would cause the vehicle control unit to lose power since it is on the same circuit. As a result, the vehicle could stall and fail to restart, posing a safety risk.
Azure Dynamics will notify vehicle owners of the recall, and dealers will upgrade the wiring harnesses free of charge, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.
