Awards to Recognize Outstanding 'Green' Fleets

TORRANCE, CA - Fleet organizations that excel in effective environmentally responsible programs will be recognized in a special awards presentation at the 2009 Green Fleet Conference.

TORRANCE, CA - Fleet organizations that excel in effective environmentally responsible programs will be recognized in a special Fleet Environmental Leadership Awards presentation at the 2009 Green Fleet Conference, scheduled Oct. 19-20 in Chicago, according to conference sponsor Bobit Business Media (BBM).

Commercial and public sector fleet industry professionals are encouraged to nominate fleet organizations that serve as leaders in developing and implementing model green programs. Fleets can self-nominate, said organizers. Online nomination forms and additional award program details will be available next week. Stay tuned for more information.

"The Fleet Environmental Leadership Awards are designed to raise awareness of the beneficial impact of green fleet initiatives and sustainability programs. The awards will celebrate fleet managers who have championed these programs by recognizing the excellence of their efforts to decrease their fleets' carbon footprints," said Mike Antich, Green Fleet Conference chairman. "The awards will provide a high-visibility platform to spotlight fleet leaders in public sector and corporate sustainability and to showcase their positive commitments to the environment."
