CHICAGO - Auto Driveaway, the largest and oldest vehicle relocation company in North America, has introduced online safety training for all Auto Driveaway drivers. With over 550 drivers in the network and the goal of ensuring every vehicle is delivered safely and without incident, we asked our insurance provider Grace/Mayer to develop a solution that would enhance our efforts to keep safety at the forefront of our drivers' minds.

What they developed was a proprietary software solution designed to educate drivers on the most current issues and best practices for driver safety.  The program includes written and video instruction about safe driving and operations.  It also includes a testing component to make sure the driver understands the material.

Additionally this tool will allow drivers to complete personal training wherever the driver is located.  Previously drivers were sent safety topics to read every other month and periodically tested in the local office.  "Changing to online training will help drivers retain what they have learned and reinforce good safety habits. Whether it is reminding them not to use a cell phone while driving or how to properly react to a deer in the road, our program will provide timely, expert advice," said Rodney Ruth, President and CEO of Auto Driveaway.   Also safety posters and reminders about speeding or wearing a seat belt will be highly visible in all 40 of the Auto Driveaway offices.

"We know we expedite the delivery of vehicles faster than our competition. This tool promotes safety and complements our expeditious vehicle delivery and pick-up times.  We want the benefit of using this technology to be the difference between an accident and accident avoidance", added Ruth.
