With the addition of Washington, Virginia, and Indiana motor vehicle records, Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD) now offers real-time access to 31 state databases for qualified companies. Whether for an automobile dealer confirming ownership for a trade-in, an insurer processing a claim, or a tow operator needing registrant and lien holder information to notify an owner his car has been towed, ADD's web-based system offers a single platform for access to more real-time records than any other company of its kind.
Companies who need access to accurate, real-time motor vehicle records to complete business transactions use ADD's secure web-based system to pull individual records when they need them, 24 hours a day. Records are made available through a secure internet connection, based on a company's qualifications under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA).
"This is an important milestone in the growth of our company's services," said Jim Taylor, President. "ADD's core business is to provide real-time motor vehicle inquiries to DPPA-qualified companies. We've grown from initially offering access to Florida records in 1999 to now working with 31 states for this important real-time service. Our customers value a single point of access for records so that the process of finalizing transactions is easy, accurate, and can be completed from online without extra steps to retrieve the information from other sources."
Real-time motor vehicle records include owner, lien holder, and registration information as well as vehicle data such as make, model, year, tag and title number. There are no monthly or annual fees for access to the state searches through ADD - customers search and pay for individual records as needed. In addition to state data, ADD provides a national title pointer with information from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) to help businesses locate or verify a vehicle's current state of title when that information is not immediately available.
In addition to Washington, Virginia, and Indiana, ADD offers real-time access to Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.
