Audi's eighth-generation 2019 A6 luxury sedan will retails for at least $59,895 when it goes on sale in the fall. The 2019 A6 adds an array of new technology, driver-assist systems, and a mild hybrid system with a turbocharged V-6, as it's entry price has increased by $2,400 from the outgoing model.

Audi is offering its 2019 A6 in three trim grades, including Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige that will retail for at least $59,895, $63,695, and $68,095 respectively. Pricing includes a $995 deliver fee.

Audi is dropping the four-cylinder engine option from the A6 lineup. The outgoing 2018 A6 3.0T V-6 model retailed for $56,500.

The 2019 A6 powertrain includes a reworked turbocharged 3.0-liter TSFI V-6 that generates 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. It's 30 pounds lighter, and delivers 44 lb.-ft. of additional torque that's available between a range of 1,370 and 4,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system that feeds power from a 10Ah (lead acid) battery. The drivertrain delivers power via a seven-speed dual clutch with standard all-wheel drive (Quattro).

Audi is debuting its revamped MMI touch response system that offers haptic feedback and two screens that replace rotary dials. Drivers can also use voice commands to set the temperature inside the car. Other standard equipment includes a full-color head-up display and a smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Available features include the second-generation Virtual Cockpit with 12.3-inch display, inductive charging via the Phone Box, and a choice of two sound systems.

The advanced driver assistance systems rely on a zFAS central controller that obtains data from 24 sensors around the vehicle and creates a digital picture of the A6's environment. Standard features include the Pre Sense City automatic emergency braking system that helps detect objects up to 52 mph; the Side Assist (on Premium and Premium Plus) blind spot monitoring via LED indicators up to 9 mph with Vehicle Exit Warning that can delay the door handle release to prevent a collision; rear cross traffic alert; and Pre Sense Rear that monitors rear following traffic and tension the seat belts during a rear-end collision.

Available driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control; a top-view camera system with a 360-degree view; Intersection Assist that can brake at speeds of up to 6.2 mph to avoid a collision; Turn Assist that can brake to avoid a left-turn collision; and traffic sign recognition.
