MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – In honor of Earth Day, ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, will hold an Earth Day celebration for employees on April 19 to bolster its recently launched internal sustainability initiative to reduce waste and energy consumption.
Employees will be required to complete a training module, educating them on steps the company has identified to meet sustainability goals and providing them with “green” tips and practices for everyday tasks. At the ARI headquarters, the celebration will feature a recycling station where employees can bring personal electronic equipment and a paper shredding truck for employees to dispose of sensitive documents from home. Employees can also have their personal vehicles’ tire pressure checked to ensure they are inflated at optimum efficiency levels.
“As a fleet management company, we are constantly reminding our clients that going green can have a tremendous impact on cost savings and the environment,” said ARI Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer Bill Kwelty. “If we’re going to encourage our clients to embrace eco-friendly programs, we need to practice what we preach. What better day to renew our commitment to sustainability than Earth Day?”
ARI’s environmental management system, the basis for the Earth Day events, will enable the company to track and monitor its energy use as well as develop goals and metrics for reducing its carbon footprint ARI’s headquarters is already upgraded with features such as automatic water fixtures, motion sensors for light fixtures, lighting timers, and LED lighting in the parking lot. The newly implemented sustainability initiative is the next step in the company’s effort to decrease waste and improve efficiencies.
