MT. LAUREL, NJ- Hundreds of Automotive Resources International (ARI) employees, their families, and members of the community recently came together for the company's fifth annual Custom Car Show.

ARI hosted more than 50 vehicles at the event, and approximately 300 spectators browsed the show grounds. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all years, makes and models competed for first, second, and third-place awards in a variety of judging classes.

The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Chip Grace's 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle. His wife, Nichole, submitted the winning essay that solidified Chip as the lucky recipient of the complete vehicle makeover sponsored by MAACO. Chip is a disabled veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Junior Vice Commander for VFW post 3620. Chip's project car was completely revamped into a showstopper through the efforts of MAACO and students from the Philadelphia Academies, a non-profit organization providing career-focused programming for public school students.

"Chip always puts his family's needs before himself, and this was an excellent way to thank him for his selflessness and for his service to the United States," said Barbara King, manager of ARI's Technical Resource Centers and chair of the car show committee.

"The ARI Car Show is always a great opportunity for employees to share automotive enthusiasm with their fellow employees and the public."

During the event, ARI also hosted a raffle with half of the proceeds going to Autism Speaks, an international charity devoted to those struggling with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

The enthusiasm surrounding the event showcased ARI's corporate culture and collaborative attitude encouraged by ARI's "Partners in Excellence" quality assurance and employee reward program.
