The partnership will also focus on building a range of fast, reliable charging solution for SEA Electric customers on the road at Ampol forecourts, destinations and the workplace.

According to the online mobility news resource electricdrive.com, commercial electric vehicle manufacturer SEA Electric and petroleum company Ampol have been players the Australia’s EV marketplace.

Ampol has received funding from New South Wales and the nation’s central government, reported electric.com. Melbourne-based SEA Electric began producing electric trucks and EV conversions in 2019 and launched two inhouse EVs, the SEA 300 and SEA 500 based on the Hino 500 and 300 Series models. The company is also active in the U.S. market.

James Myatt, Ampol’s general manager, energy, said Ampol will work with SEA Electric and leverage its knowledge and strong relationships across industries to help support commercial vehicle owners' decarbonization goals.

For SEA Electric, the partnership provides flexible charging options for electric truck owners and will help reduce range anxiety for businesses looking to invest in emissions-reducing electric trucks.
