AmeriFleet Launches Campaign to Promote Safe Driving Efforts

ALPHARETTA, GA - AmeriFleet Transportation is recognizing Drive Safely Work Week (October 4-8), the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety's (NETS) annual workplace safety campaign, with a full schedule of activities designed to promote safe driving practices.

ALPHARETTA, GA - AmeriFleet Transportation is recognizing Drive Safely Work Week (October 4-8), the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety's (NETS) annual workplace safety campaign, with a full schedule of activities designed to promote safe driving practices. AmeriFleet is the industry leader in total logistics solutions and transportation services to the fleet management and corporate fleet industry.

Sponsored by the NETS since 1996, this year's Drive Safely Work Week campaign focuses on the dangers of distracted driving, particularly as related to the use of cell phones and texting while driving.

Among AmeriFleet's efforts kicking off this week are:

  • AmeriFleet Pledge to Drive Focused. AmeriFleet will ask employees including the company's more than 800 Service Delivery Professionals nationwide, to sign the pledge form. The pledge calls for them to:

-not text while driving, let calls go to voicemail while driving

-safely pull over to retrieve messages and make calls

-quickly end any calls they've initiated if they determine the person

"Our activities for Drive Safely Work Week will launch an ongoing campaign for employees educating them on safe driving practices in conjunction with NETS initiatives."

AmeriFleet Transportation employees will celebrate their safe driving campaign efforts with a safe driving cookout and safe-driver themed raffle prizes including AmeriFleet car safety kits, fire extinguisher and auto care sets, first aid kids, gift certificates for car washes and auto services, trunk organizers and flat tire repair kits.

In addition to its Drive Safely Work Week efforts, AmeriFleet Transportation recently implemented an employee mobile device policy.
