Alliance AutoGas Builds 600 U.S. Propane Autogas Fueling Stations
Alliance AutoGas installs the autogas fuel station then delivers a year-round autogas supply to the fleet's home base.
Alliance AutoGas, a company that uses American-made autogas through vehicle conversions, on-site fueling, and ongoing safety training and technical support, installed its 600th propane autogas refueling station as of June 2013. There are 2,843 total autogas stations in the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Alliance AutoGas provides a nationwide program to help fleets switch from gasoline to propane autogas, which powers more than 21 million vehicles globally, by installing the autogas fuel station at a fleet’s home base, usually at no upfront cost, then delivering a year-round autogas supply.
Alliance AutoGas President Stuart Weidie, also the founder of Autogas for America will speak about “The Cost-Effectiveness of Propane Autogas Refueling Infrastructure, Present and Future” during the 2013 Alternative Clean Transportation conference and exhibition (ACT Expo) in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 26.
Alliance provides everything a fleet needs to successfully switch to propane autogas, including vehicle technology, refueling infrastructure, fuel supply, and ongoing technical support. In three years, this fleet-first approach has enabled Alliance AutoGas to switch thousands of vehicles to propane autogas.
