Allan Wells has joined Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) Company heading up the utility’s crane fleet maintenance operations. He is based in Davis, Calif., and assumed this position in January 2022. The PG&E crane fleet maintenance operations covers 63 locations for both mobile and stationary cranes. One of his responsibilities is ensuring compliance with both OSHA and DOT regulations with a focus on safety and maintenance.

Prior to joining PG&E, Wells was general manager – after-sales ‘country’ for Weststar Associates Limited, a Mercedes-Benz AG Nigeria Distributor for cars, trucks, and buses. It is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Webstar has strategic locations in Lagos, Lekki, Abuja, and various dealership support throughout Nigeria that have Mercedes-Benz-trained sales teams and factory-trained technicians.

In 2017, Wells was named corporate fleet director for Visionscape, an environmental utility group providing turnkey solutions in areas of sanitation, energy, and wastewater treatment based in the Emirate of Dubai.

Prior to this, Wells was an area fleet director for Waste Management in Wixom, Mich. Wells’ other fleet management experience included Rockwater Energy Solutions, Inc. in Houston, where he worked as the director of fleet operations from 2012 to 2014. While at Rockwell Energy Solutions, Wells managed 140 locations and 3,500-plus pieces of on-road equipment operating in the U.S. and Canada.
