PRINCETON, NJ – ALK Technologies, Inc. has partnered with the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA),  enabling AMSA to offer ALK's PC*MILER software to its members at a 15-percent discount. PC*MILER is the industry standard for truck routing, mileage, and mapping.

AMSA is a non-profit trade association of 3,700 interstate household goods movers, some of whom also provide local moving services and secure warehouse storage. America's movers were among the first motor carriers to base rates on mileage between pickup and delivery points beginning in the 1930s, hence the transportation industry term "household goods miles."

PC*MILER is not based on traditional household goods mileage parameters, but on the real truck-legal highway and street-level miles for specific routes based on vehicle type and commodities hauled.
