SEATTLE -- Airbiquity, a provider of connected vehicle services, and Coulomb Technologies, the creator of the ChargePoint Network of electric vehicle charging stations, announced a partnership. The two companies will integrate the ChargePoint Network’s driver services into Airbiquity’s Green Vehicle service portfolio.

Coulomb’s ChargePoint Network is an open-platform network of charging stations managing the delivery of electric fuel to EVs around the globe. Airbiquity has already announced relationships with several automakers to deliver connected vehicle services for their EVs. Using Airbiquity’s connected vehicle service delivery platform, Choreo, the two companies will make ChargePoint Network driver services available to Airbiquity EV customers.

Airbiquity’s Choreo is a global, scalable infrastructure for deploying a variety of connected vehicle services customized to each automaker’s requirements. EV owners will be able to use desktop and mobile Web portals, smart phone apps and in-vehicle systems to locate and reserve charging stations on the ChargePoint Network.

“The Airbiquity-Coulomb partnership extends the reach and benefits of ChargePoint Network to the inside of the vehicle,” said Bret Sewell, executive vice president of Coulomb Technologies. “Leading drivers to available stations is critical, not only to drivers but also to the independent charging services providers around the world whose stations are searchable and findable on ChargePoint Network. We are proud to partner with Airbiquity to help further accelerate the EV market.”

“Partnering with Coulomb is a natural extension of our Green Vehicle offerings,” said David Jumpa, senior vice president of global business development for Airbiquity. “This relationship allows Airbiquity to enhance the driver’s experience with their new EV, making it easier for EV owners to rely upon a support infrastructure for their new vehicle. As plug-in EVs begin to enter the market, the demand for third-party charging services will soar. Airbiquity is making sure it continues to provide the best connected vehicle services for its automaker customers.”
