This year’s Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association’s (AFLA) annual conference agenda, headed by Patsy Brownson, has been announced. The event will be held September 8-11 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, 1107 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, CA.
The following is a brief look at some of the speakers and topics:
Thursday, September 9
Maryann Keller, from Maryann Keller & Associates, is the morning’s keynote speaker. The day also spotlights Lisa Whalen, director of industry analysis for General Motors Corp. Donald Schaffer, senior VP/CFO of LeasePlan USA, analyzes the effect of new international accounting standards. A luncheon speaker is also featured.
Friday, September 10
Friday opens with Dean Eisner, president & CEO of Manheim. Afterward, a panel covering 21st Century Vehicle Remarketing will be held, featuring Darrin Aiken from Wheels, Clive Kinross of OnLane, and Bob Rauschenberg of Auction Broadcast Company. Friday morning concludes with Karen Healey from PHH Arval, who will discuss the Greening of the Corporate Fleet.
The annual Pete Z Golf Scramble will commence on Friday afternoon.
Saturday, September 11
Saturday morning features Kathy Marinello, president & CEO of GE Fleet Services. Saturday sessions will wrap up with a Socratic dialogue featuring Joe Gholston from DaimlerChrysler, Jerry Frick from Ford, and Bill Gibson from General Motors. This final session was last year’s most highly rated session. It provides an opportunity to become involved in a discussion with vehicle manufacturers about fleet management issues.
