Auction Broadcasting Co. LLC (ABC) has reached an agreement with Auction Management Solutions Inc., based in Tampa, FL, to be ABC’s provider of interactive bidding and broadcasting technology for its theater-style auctions, and will use the AMS OnLine Ringman technology as a strategic relationship in its e-commerce strategy.
With the OnLine Ringman technology, dealers will be able to interactively view and participate in lane bidding, access vehicle and other information on the Internet, participate in sales being conducted at ABC facilities, arrange for floor planning and transportation, and receive technical support training from a support staff.
The ABC Indianapolis site will be the first ABC auction facility to have six lanes equipped with the OnLine Ringman technology, and anticipates having its first OnLine Ringman-based sale in August. The remaining ABC auction facilities are scheduled to receive the OnLine Ringman technology throughout the remainder of this year and into the first quarter of 2001.
Auction Broadcasting Co. LLC is a privately held auction company with five auction sites and three new auctions under construction. Auction Management Solutions Inc. is an independent auction services company that is the sole owner and developer of the OnLine Ringman system.
