OAKBROOK, IL – Ernie Lancaster of Napleton Fleet Group in Oakbrook, Ill., will retire on May 16. Lancaster has been in the fleet and lease industry more than 30 years, which has provided him an advantage in his current role communicating with courtesy delivery dealers. His primary responsibilities have included the maintenance of the courtesy delivery network of over 10,000 dealers nationwide, out-of-stock purchases, and used vehicle disposal.

Lancaster began his career in fleet working for Don Fenton at Long Chevrolet in Elmhurst, Ill., May 17, 1971. He has since worked in various positions within the industry, including Piemonte Fleet with Milo Matich, Donlen with Don Rappeport, and Emkay with the Tepas family.
"It has been my pleasure to finish off the last three years of my career in the business working with three of the Long Chevrolet crew, Rick and Laurie Nicoletti and Sue Gathercoal," said Lancaster. "Many, many good times in the business. Those old AFLA/NAFA conventions...when I was a younger man," Lancaster recalled.
Lancaster recently married Pam Moriarty, Don Fenton's niece. He plans to enjoy retirement with his new wife, two sons, and soon-to-be four grandchildren. "After 37 years of putting out fires in this business, I'm not going to do anything," he said.
