2020 Prius Prime Adds Additional Seating, Tech — The 2020 Prius Prime hybrid will add a fifth seat, and standard Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM and Amazon Alexa capabilities. It will also now include two additional USB ports for rear passengers, a new sun visor extender, and a relocation of seat heater buttons for front seat passengers for easier usability.

The 2020 Prius Prime plug-in hybrid will feature several upgrades, including expanded seating and technological capabilities, Toyota has announced.

The vehicle will add a fifth seat, as well as standard Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM and Amazon Alexa capabilities, according to the automaker. It will also now include two additional USB ports for rear passengers, a new sun visor extender, and relocation of seat heater buttons for front seat passengers for easier usability.

There is also a new grade strategy for the Prius Prime, which is now available in LE, XLE, and Limited. When it arrives this summer, the vehicle will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $27,600 for the LE, $29,500 for XLE, and $33,500 for Limited, Toyota said in a release.

The Prius Prime has a fuel economy rating of 55 miles per gallon in the city, 53 mpg on the highway, and 54 mpg combined. It can travel up to 25 miles on electricity alone.
