Ford Motor Co. is recalling an estimated 2,700 2019 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles equipped with lane-centering assist and adaptive front steering because they may not adequately detect if a driver has his or her hands off the steering wheel.
This scenario could lead to the failure of the hands on/off detection system to alert the driver to place his hands on the steering wheel, which increases the likelihood of a collision.
To fix the problem, dealers will update the power steering control module software in affected vehicles. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries resulting from this issue.
Affected 2019 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles were manufactured at Oakville Assembly Plant Sept. 5 to Nov. 19.
