2014 BMW i8 Hybrid Arrives In Spring
The 2014 BMW i8, which will arrive at dealerships in the spring, will be constructed primarily of light-weight carbon fiber. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and reach a governed top speed of 155 mph.

BMW will debut the 2014 production model of its i8 plug-in hybrid super car at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month ahead of its introduction to the market in the spring.
The 2014 BMW i8, which has been shown as a concept vehicle at several auto shows, will be constructed primarily of light-weight carbon fiber. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and reach a governed top speed of 155 mph.
The vehicle's fuel consumption is rated at 94 mpg, and it will retail for $135,700, BMW announced.
The vehicle was first introduced as a plug-in hybrid concept car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Two years later, the automaker brought a gasoline-powered version to the same show. Earlier this year, BMW brought a production version to the Frankfurt Motor Show.
