“The i-MiEV is a perfect car for short distance delivery with clean, economic, quiet and comfortable driving, and now this new incentive makes this vehicle more attractive for fleet customers,” said Joseph Delello, who heads up the company’s fleet sales efforts.

The automaker first announced plans to develop the all-electric car in April 2009.

“MMNA is making a strong, new commitment to the fleet market,” Delello added. “This will include an enhanced ordering process, fleet incentives, factory CD assistance, and dedicated field sales staff.”

Delello also touched on the new U.S. production for the 2013 Outlander Sport. “We will be producing our 2013 Outlander Sport here in the U.S. at our Normal,Ill. facility. This should help us improve flexibility in order and delivery.”
