LeasePlan USA has begun offering a connected vehicle cloud platform called OneConnect that expands the fleet management company's telematics offering to its commercial fleet clients.
The Alpharetta, Ga.-based division of LeasePlan NV has partnered with Geotab on the platform, which will use that telematics provider's open-platform API. It will receive data from Geotab devices.
OneConnect will merge real-time raw vehicle data from vehicles on the road with proprietary LeasePlan fleet management data to provide a "360-degree view of overall fleet performance and driver behavior," according to the company.
"OneConnect provides a window into never before seen fleet insights," said Felipe Smolka, executive vice president of transformation. "The uniqueness of our approach lands a fresh flavor on how to look at a fleet, as we now have the opportunity to marry all relevant data points into one single pane of glass."
The platform aligns with the fleet management company's MyLeasePlan mobile app, virtual assistant Elle, and OneScore driver scorecard.
LeasePlan will also offer a new OneConnect dashboard that will be integrated into its ePlan client-facing fleet management tool.
