ARI and WEX, Inc. are celebrating their long-running relationship with co-branded fuel cards for fleet customers of the fleet management company, the payments solution provider announced. The companies have been in business together for 25 years.

The companies began their relationship in 1993 with the second-ever co-branded fuel card issued by WEX, Inc., which was previously known as Wright Express Corp., and is based in South Portland, Maine.

In February, ARI was the first fleet management company to roll out WEX Millennium, which provides real-time authorization data, increased control over transactions, and the ability to create multiple fuel profiles with different parameters.

"Since day one, ARI has been a partner that pushes us with an eye towards the future," said Bernie Kavanagh, senior vice president and general manager of large fleet for WEX. "ARI is always looking to test and adopt new technologies or platforms, and we look forward to the continued success of this business model and partnership, bringing end-to-end fleet solutions to our joint customers across the globe."
