Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 153,859 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans — each one equipped with a 3.6L engine — because of potential stalling, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In these vehicles, the engine control software may become out of sync with the crankshaft position sensor, possibly resulting in an engine stall. To remedy the problem, dealers will update the engine control software. There will be no charge for this service, NHTSA said.

The recall is expected to begin March 2. Vehicle owners can reach Chrysler customer service at (800) 853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is U01.
