Hyundai has named former director of brand and design at Lamborghini, Manfred Fitzgerald, to lead its new Genesis brand.

Hyundai has named former director of brand and design at Lamborghini, Manfred Fitzgerald, to lead its new Genesis brand.

Fitzgerald, who will be based in Seoul, will be in charge of establishing and executing sales strategies for the brand as senior vice president. He will take a core role in brand strategy, marketing and other business operations, according to Hyundai.

Fitzgerald has been credited with increasing Lamborghini sales 10 fold during his 12 years with the brand. Luc Donckerwolke has been named to lead the Genesis brand's Prestige Design Division as head of the Hyundai Motor Design Center.
